I have endeavoured to give answers to the most common questions below, but if there is anything else you would like to ask, please go to the contact page and write me a message and I will do my best to help you out.

I pride myself on efficiency, but sadly I don't live in a country that is very famous for that... Cypriots are fond of the phrase 'Siga-siga' which is translated as 'Slowly-slowly'. Because of this, I cannot offer a next day delivery service. All orders placed will be fulfilled and dispatched within 24 hours, but please allow up to 1 week from making your order to it arriving at the recipient if delivery is within Cyprus, and up to two weeks for overseas. This service, unlike 'MoonPig' and other online card delivery services, is designed for people who plan ahead and want to send something a bit different to their loved ones. Please see more information on our postage policy below.


Please take care when adding your personalisation to your order. I will copy exactly what you have written into your card, so make sure to spell check and proof what you write to ensure it arrives with the recipient as you want it to! I will space out your message to fit perfectly within the card, but please be sure to stick to the word limit on your order! Front personalisation (Where available) is a max of four words, and inside personalisation is a max of 50 words. There is no limit on address size. Don't forget; all items on this website are handmade, so whilst every care is taken to make sure that they are consistent, the end product may vary slightly from the photograph shown here. We think that that simply adds to the unique nature of each product!

The Government of Cyprus website has the following to say about the postal service in this country "The Cyprus Post is an economical way of sending personal and professional correspondence, both in Cyprus and abroad.

There are hundreds of correspondence drop off points (street mailboxes), across Cyprus  with a nationwide coverage with 56 post offices and over 1000 rural agencies. Mail delivery and collection take place 5 times a week with mail delivery to the premises and to PO Boxes for individuals and enterprises 5 times a week. Quality control of the movement of mail by modern methods and latest technology is used.

Nine out of ten domestic letters reach their destination the next working day after posting while almost every letter is delivered three days after posting (Based on quality measurements of Cyprus Post for 2011 and the applicable letter deposit requirements)."

This being said, please allow one week for internal post and up to two weeks for overseas. This includes the time it takes to make and personalise the cards. If I used a currier service to post the cards, the costs to myself and then to you, the customer, would simply be too high.

If you are not happy with your purchase then you have 14 days to return it for an exchange or refund. You will be responsible for the return shipping costs. Commissions: in the event of cancellation of any commissioned work, the customer shall be responsible for all expenses and outlays incurred by the maker up to the date of cancellation together with a further amount calculated and notified to the parties by Barefoot Designs acting in good faith.

Made to Order: in the event of cancellation of any made to order product, Barefoot Designs shall hold the 50% non-refundable deposit paid by the customer for all expenses and outlays incurred up to the date of cancellation. To cancel your order you must advise us by writing at: barefootdesignsonlineorder@gmail.com and we will issue you with a returns note for inclusion in your delivery.  All parcels are sent back at your own risk. We would advise using recorded delivery as the parcel is not our responsibility until we sign for it. Please note that the right to cancel and return for a refund does not apply to the following: “personalised goods or goods made to a consumer’s specification” – this includes all bespoke custom orders either placed on the website, by email or over the phone. PLEASE NOTE: We will only accept the return of item/s if sent back in original unused condition.

We aim to apply all refunds & despatch exchange items within 48 hours of the day they are received, although it can take longer during busy periods such as Christmas & sale periods.
